DJ JNETT

Australian DJ, electronic music producer, and radio host (b. 20 September 1968, Foster, Victoria). [b]DJ JNETT[/b] currently lives and in Melbourne. She studied at [l=RMIT] in Melbourne and worked as a photographer and photographer's assistant before becoming a full-time deejay.

In the early 1990s, Janette lived in London, UK, where she discovered house music after hearing [a=Paul "Trouble" Anderson] sets. Upon returning to Australia, Janette began working at Melbourne's iconic Central Station record store and started DJing privately. She assumed the "DJ Jnett" alias and debuted at The Lounge in Melbourne a few years later; Jnett immediately became the club's resident and soon launched her weekly party series, "Purveyors." Since then, Pitruzzello has performed with some of the world's leading deejays and electronic projects, including [a=Frankie Knuckles], [a=Theo Parrish], [a=Kerri Chandler], [a=Moodymann], [a=Danny Krivit], [a=Sadar Bahar], [a=St Germain], and [a=Floating Points]. DJ Jnett hosted a radio show at Kiss FM and worked as the electronic music reporter on [url=https://discogs.com/label/252812]ABC[/url]'s TV program "Recovery" for two years.

In 2016, DJ Jnett released her debut [i][r=8571804][/i] 12" EP on [a=Maurice Fulton]'s label [l=BubbleTease Communications]. Fulton lived in Melbourne years ago and was friends with Janette, regularly visiting her and finally encouraging her to record and produce original tracks together. The same year, Pitruzzello launched her Monday night program, "[i]Are You Ready?[/i]," at [url=https://discogs.com/label/255141]PBS 106.7 FM[/url] radio.
