House of Others (Vol.5): Souci, Robin Flux, materia hache

We kick off the new year with the fifth volume of House of Others' community party, where house music unfolds in all its glory. It's not about a single genre or a single identity, but about the dancefloor as a shared space, where personal history and collective energy meet. We will have materia hache as our unconditional host, warming up and closing the party.

On this occasion, we are joined by two DJs who will keep us dancing non-stop. They share a vision of the dancefloor as a space for freedom, connection, and collective healing. Their sounds traverse different house music genealogies to converge at a single point: the dancefloor as a home for diverse identities, moving bodies, and communities that recognize each other through dance.

Souci is a Berlin-based DJ whose sets are rooted in House music as a space of release, resistance, and connection. Drawing from 90s Chicago House, UK rave energy, Detroit rawness, and diasporic influences, her genre-fluid selections are emotionally charged and deeply dancefloor-oriented.

Robin Flux conceives house music as an act of collective healing. Inspired by recent trips to Detroit and the diverse currents of the Midwest, their sets weave together different languages of house music with deep roots in queer, Black, and Latinx culture.
