Boxing Day Bash with *riffraff / Bad Intentions / Scatterbrain Records / The Quarter

London based dance music brand Bad intentions is back after a string of stand out parties in the capital. This time, head honcho Marlon Baleci will be making the pilgrimage to Middlesbrough for his brands debut showcase in the North East. Known for his eclectic genre defying sets, Marlon is a selector with one of the deepest record collections in the game. This year, he played stand out sets at Albanias Unum festival and Londons Iconic fabric to name a few.

Bad Intentions will be teaming up with Scatterbrain - a new concept from Redcar’s very own Sahar. This year, Sahar’s touring schedule has spanned several continents and just last week he released a new single on Camelphat’s label ‘When Stars Align’. He is now turning his attention towards building his own platform ‘Scatterbrain’. 2026 promises to be a big year, with a string of Scatterbrain releases and events already lined up, this will be the first glimpse of what’s to come from this exciting new label. 

Also on the line-up we have the legendary Middlesbrough party starters *riffraff playing an all night long set. Founded in 2003 by Lee Pennington, *riffraff has been the backbone of Boro’s underground clubbing scene for over two decades. They have just celebrated their 22nd birthday in truly epic fashion; selling out 5 venues on Baker Street for a party that will, without a doubt, go down in Middlesbroughs raving history. It’s not a proper party without the *riffraff crew on board. 

Last but not least we have The Quarter. The Quarter is a newly formed collective of DJs, their sets are immersive, energetic, and unpredictable from start to finish. With an age range spanning from 18 to 58, their sets benefit from the symbiosis of fresh youthful energy and decades of experience. While the members have each carved their own paths individually, they’ve now come together to form something truly unique.

Tickets for this event will also gain you access to *riffraff at The Empire where we will be continuing the party once Rhythms doors close. Details will be collected on entry.
