Fresh off his Berghain debut, Decoder returns to New York for a b2b with Toca co-founder Jay York. A night that reflects Singularity's core philosophy: intentional curation, shared artistic language, and techno built for depth rather than spectacle.

Decoder and Jay York share more than a booth. They co-run Toca, a vinyl imprint built around discipline, restraint, and timeless techno design. That shared vision makes this less a clash of styles and more a single conversation carried across two selectors.

Decoder has secured releases on Axis, Delsin, and Molecular, earned co-signs from Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin, and played rooms like Berghain, De School, Fold, Watergate, and Cialo. His sets are patient and deliberate, unfolding with precision while pulling dancers deeper into the room.

Jay York is a trusted force behind some of the most demanding dance floors in the city, including Basement and H0L0, with festival appearances at III Points Miami. Handpicked by Richie Hawtin for the 2023 From Our Minds tour, he's since released on Enemy Records, NECHTO, and Conundrum alongside Arthur Robert. His sound is driving, percussive, and physical. Grounded in groove and momentum with an instinctive sense for pressure and release.

Malta Kano is a Los Angeles–based DJ and producer tracing the edges of hypnotic, floor-focused techno. His studio work is shaped through hardware and experimental sound design, while his sets translate that world into tightly mixed selections built around evolving soundscapes. His sound rewards attention - gradual shifts, long arcs, and detail in motion.

The night opens with djropout, the founder of Singularity, whose sound is rooted in high-tech minimal and forward-leaning techno. His work aims to cultivate new cultural pockets within the city, treating Singularity as an engine for local sonic development rather than a reflection of established scenes abroad.

Singularity is a NYC-based techno project focused on stripping modern club sounds down to their functional core to understand how specific rhythmic, textural, and structural choices move dance floors and influence programming across the city. Singularity exists to present moments like this. Focused lineups, no filler, and artists whose alignment goes beyond the surface. This debut sets the tone for what follows.
