GAY24 presents FANGS (1981)

A young couple's car breaks down in the pouring rain, leaving them no choice but to venture to a nearby castle for shelter and a helping hand. Instead, they find themselves in the clutches of a group of bizarre misfits and freaks, led by a flamboyant and beautifully dressed Count prone to spontaneously breaking into song... sound familiar? GAY24 is proud to present the new restoration of Mohamed Shebl's camp trashy masterpiece FANGS, with 100% of ticket proceeds going to Palestinian Relief Aid. Long traded amongst queer film diehards in a dingy postage-stamp sized VHS rip, this new presentation courtesy of cult film disciple William Morris must be seen to be believed, finally breathing new life into this lost classic.

Often summed up as the "Egyptian Rocky Horror" (due to its liberal "inspiration" from the US original), in reality FANGS is its own beast entirely. Having to strip all overt queer references from the text due to 1980s Egypt's strict censorship laws, FANGS instead leans deeply into camp - full of glam rock excess, glittering ghouls, and constant wry nods to its target audience.
