Summertime Dance - New Flower Sound System

About

Cam's Kiosk, New Flower and In For The Long Haul present a special Sunday summer dance, under the canopy of the old Liquidambar in the Convent central courtyard. The dappled afternoon sun will give way to a sultry Melbourne evening, with dance music, food and drink all provided at the highest calibre.

Space is limited, so secure your tickets early.

Sunday 22 February, 2026
Doors at 3PM, music until 11PM.

New Flower Sound System is a special high-fidelity sound system built on the principles of 70s analogue club sound; vintage components and tried-and-true Class AB amplification. This party will be the first ever outing for New Flower’s expanded mode, with an additional two Electro Voice folded-horn bass cabinets installed for that restorative thump in your chest.

Cam’s Kiosk is a beloved institution found under the arches of the Abbotsford Convent courtyard. They will provide hospitality all day, including a broad drinks list and special picnic menu.

DJs for the day —

Tess Monaghan (Melbourne, Skylab)
Community radio regular and local record slinger Tess Monaghan will play warm and welcoming dubwise selects, shades of ambience and whatever her heart desires. We leave the opening hours in her very capable hands.

Bruno Roth (Ibiza, Cas Gayatî Records)
A special guest, all the way from the White Isle. 10th-generation Ibicenco, his family have a rich musical history in Ibiza, with Bruno carrying the torch via his own productions, label and expertly-selected records in the tradition of the golden years of Balearic club culture. His Australian debut will take you back to Pacha in ’98, whether you were there or not.

Harvey Sutherland (Melbourne, Clarity Recordings)
The Melbourne producer, bandleader and club DJ known for his chameleonic brand of “neurotic funk” will select his favourite records until late. His latest album “Debt” is an exercise in techno minimalism, spotlighting early-aughts microhouse and laser-focused club jams. No stranger to the New Flower rig, Harvey will guide us home steadily at the controls.
