Wax'o Paradiso Heritage Garden Open Air

It’s that time of year again!

Perhaps our most treasured dance spot of the year. Once again we’re returning to the Abbotsford Convent’s Heritage Gardens Lawn. The sloping natural amphitheatre and psychedelic Gazebo that have become a cherished part of our annual calendar ; ‘)

This year we have some special guests from near and far to share music with you.

Moxie:

DJ Moxie is nothing short of a powerhouse. Holding down Wednesdays on NTS since nigh on day dot, balancing a touring schedule that makes us break a sweat, putting out heaters on her On Loop imprint, and even recently finding the time (how???) to curate a stunning compilation for Love International.

At last year’s Heritage Lawn party she was the Gazebo’s unofficial timekeeper, and the seed was planted for a Wax’o appearance. It’s been a year in the making, welcoming Moxie!

Mike Midnight [LIVE]:

Originally Boorloo-based Mike Midnight is making waves. From local shores to all the way across the big blue panadol to his now residence in Berlin. Alongside Roza Terenzi and singer emkay he is one third of cult trip hop group Trickpony, and boasts an impressive oeuvre of glistening downtempo gorgeousness under his own name. He’s also one of the most wicked club deejays around, but that’s a whole other story… (eyes peeled for the afters).

Navy Blue Radio:

We can think of no one better to open proceedings and warm up the rig than Navy Blue Radio. Folarin and Langai have quickly become community stalwarts. Beaming rays of positivity through a range of selections as broad as it is soulful. From their own events to their show on Skylab Radio, they don’t stop. One could be forgiven for being misled by their warm-hearted energy, but make no mistake, these selectors are bad boys.
