Paquita Gordon (Italy) + XIAOLIN (宀, Hong Kong) + DJ Dustin (Giegling, Berlin)

About

Paquita Gordon
Paquita Gordon’s world has no borders, and the same goes for her music: a tireless traveller, she gets new inspirations from all the places she visits. Her sets, all of them entirely played on vinyl, can be divided through two main kinds, a cosmic one and an earthly one.

The first category delves into the realms of psychedelia, black music, ambient, dub, folk and spiritual jazz, creating something that is hard to define, personal and unique, while the second one is linked with a 360 degrees club heritage, that goes from house and techno to dnb and trance, with perfect and enthralling mixes. Paquita’s musical research focuses on tribal aspects of sound, starting from its origins and following these roots to their most contemporary declinations, triggering a triumph of the ritual and collective dimension of the musical experience.

DJ Dustin
DJ Dustin
Dustin's first encounter with electronic music occurred when he was just eleven years old in 1997. His cousin put on a techno tape on a portable radio in the backyard of his grandparents' farm. Before his mother could intervene to stop the music in disapproval, Dustin found himself captivated by the music.

Soon, Dustin began collecting CDs, and around the age of 15, he had his first encounter with club music on vinyl while visiting his brother, an established DJ running a local club near Berlin. His brother introduced him to the world of DJing and provided valuable lessons. The music and the magic of vinyl and record players changed the course of his interests.

Facing a lack of parental support for his newfound passion, Dustin took matters into his own hands. He worked on construction sites during summer holidays to earn money, eventually founding a small studio in his former hometown near Berlin with his close friends. Together, they organized parties and attended festivals like Fusion Festival and first club nights in Berlin.

The passion for the music was all-encompassing, but it was still just a hobby for Dustin, never to be thought of as a job. His path took an unexpected turn during his time studying Computer Science in Weimar. There, he forged close friendships with Konstantin and Rafael (Leafar Legov) while throwing parties at a club named "Electro Giegling." Inspired by the magical and free-spirited atmosphere of those parties in 2008, they decided to create a lasting memory by establishing a record label.

Originally planned for just two releases by Kettenkarussell and Dwig, the new-born label, named Giegling, continued to evolve organically. In 2008, after the demolition of Electro Giegling, the group expanded, joining forces with more friends to design their first festival stage at Fusion Festival emphasizing the creation of spaces for music experiences.

In the following years, Giegling gained global recognition, enabling Dustin and his friends to share their music and aesthetic worldwide. However, in 2022, after 14 years of managing the label and handling most aspects behind the scenes, Dustin decided to make space to focus on just DJing and for new projects, so he handed over his former tasks at Giegling while still remaining an active musical part of the label.
