Karneval!?! – Der Tanz auf der Membran returns to Stadtgarten and JAKI for Carnival Friday 2026, continuing its approach of blending Cologne’s carnival spirit with the energy of a contemporary club night. The event creates a space where tradition and modern club culture meet on equal footing.

Across multiple floors, guests can move between contrasting musical worlds: electronic sounds, techno and bass-driven styles at JAKI; house, hip hop and current club hits in the Stadtgarten hall; and a dedicated floor celebrating Kölsch songs, carnival classics and sing-along moments. The result is a fluid, multi-genre experience shaped by movement, atmosphere and collective euphoria.

Costumes are welcome and encouraged. Clear awareness guidelines ensure that discriminatory, harmful or violent costumes have no place at the event. A trained awareness team will be present throughout the night to support guests who feel uncomfortable or require assistance.
