Zum letzten Lab in diesem Jahr habe ich mir selbst ein kleines Weihnachtsgeschenk gemacht – und euch gleich mitbeschenkt. Ich freue mich wahnsinnig, die wundervolle ADA ein weiteres Mal in der Glitzerperle begrüßen zu dürfen. Kaum eine Künstlerin schafft es so mühelos, Wärme, Melancholie und elektronische Eleganz in einem einzigen Moment zu bündeln. Wer sie schon einmal live erlebt hat, weiß: Ihre Auftritte sind keine gewöhnlichen Gigs, sondern kleine Erweckungserlebnisse.

Ihre legendären Live-Auftritte führen sie einmal um die Welt und zurück bevor ihr Debütalbum „Blondie“ 2004 von der New York Times in die Top 10-Liste der besten Alben des Jahres gewählt wird. Von De:Bug bis New York Times überschlagen sich die Feuilletons. Bis zum nächsten Album sollten 6 Jahre vergehen. 6 Jahre gefüllt mit traumhaften Kooperationen/Remixen (unter anderem „Grand Canyon“ für Tracey Thorn von Everything But The Girl (erschienen auf ihrer Mix-CD „Adaptations – Mixtape #1“ auf Kompakt) oder „Rebel Boy“ für Tocotronic.
2011 erscheint ihr zweites Album „Meine zarten Pfoten“ auf DJ Kozes Label Pampa Records. Der Hamburger Konzertclub-Tycoon und Starautor Tino Hanekamp schreibt hierzu: "Im weitesten Sinne ist es Pop, aber letztlich Musik, die eine derartige Wärme und Gelassenheit ausstrahlt, dass sie noch das größte Nervenbündel in einen Zustand feinstofflicher Empfänglichkeit sediert.“
2025 markiert einen neuen Höhepunkt in ihrer Karriere mit der Veröffentlichung der Single „Unbelievable“, einer hypnotischen Kollaboration mit DJ Koze für sein einzigartiges Album „Music can hear us“, die erneut zeigt, wie nahtlos sie zwischen Pop-Appeal und experimenteller Clubkultur balanciert. Ihre DJ-Sets spiegeln dabei denselben musikalischen Anspruch wider wie ihre Produktionen: verspielt, tiefgründig, berührend.
Ada bleibt ein seltenes Phänomen: eigenwillig, zeitlos und immer offen für neue Wege – ob im Studio, auf der Bühne oder im Club.

For the final Lab of the year, I’ve treated myself to a little Christmas present – and at the same time gifted one to all of you. I’m beyond thrilled to welcome the wonderful ADA back to the Glitzerperle. Hardly any artist manages to weave warmth, melancholy, and electronic elegance together so effortlessly in a single moment. Anyone who has seen her live knows: her performances are anything but ordinary gigs – they’re small revelations.

Her legendary live shows took her once around the world and back again before her first album „Blondie“ was featured in the top 10 of New York Times‘ best pop albums of 2004. From De:Bug to The New York Times, the cultural press was over the moon. It would take another six years until her next album – six years filled with dreamlike collaborations and remixes, including Grand Canyon for Tracey Thorn of Everything But The Girl (featured on her acclaimed mix CD Adaptations – Mixtape #1 on Kompakt), and Rebel Boy for Tocotronic.
Her second album “Meine zarten Pfoten” was released on DJ Koze’s label Pampa Records in 2011. Hamburg concert hall tycoon and bestselling author Tino Hanekamp writes: “In the broadest sense of the word, it’s pop. But ultimately it’s music that exudes so much warmth and tranquillity that it puts even the greatest bundle of nerves into a state of ultra-fine-tuned receptiveness.”
2025 marks a new high point in Ada’s career with the release of Unbelievable, a hypnotic collaboration with DJ Koze for his outstanding album „Music can hear us“ that once again shows her effortless ability to balance pop appeal with experimental club culture. Her DJ sets reflect the same musical sensibility as her productions: playful, profound, and emotionally resonant.
Ada remains a rare phenomenon – fiercely individual, timeless in spirit, and always open to new directions: in the studio, on stage, or behind the decks.
