Oázis: Cassy (DE), Jaffa Surfa, Klayman, Mákó Rozi, Acidbenci (Live)

The best DJs are easiest to recognize by the fact that they have earned the respect of both dancers and music connoisseurs. The February guest of Atno’s series Oázis, Cassy is such a dj.

We highly recommend this evening to musical explorers, because Cassy is an artist who can teach a great deal while also entertain through her carefully curated selections and incredible momentum. She possesses encyclopedic knowledge of the past fifty years of dance music history; her taste is refined and effortless, and her dance moves are unmistakable.

A true cosmopolitan, she has lived in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, London, New York, and Los Angeles; worked at the legendary Hard Wax record store; held residencies at clubs such as Panorama Bar, Trouw, and Rex Club; and released music on the Perlon and Ostgut Ton labels—not to mention that along the way she also raised a child.

Alongside Cassy, the Hungarian performers of the evening will also shine brightly, as they too are equally authentic and talented figures of the dance music scene. They have proven their mastery countless times and have already created lasting memories at Atno as well. Jaffa Surfa and Klayman have joined forces many times before; their love of music, commitment, and knowledge command respect. Mákó Rozi has likewise been honing her craft for decades—a true musical Swiss Army knife—who will present her kaleidoscopic techno records in the early morning hours. Acidbenci, meanwhile, will play his irresistibly energetic original house/deep house tracks live on synthesizer and drum machine at the beginning of the night.
