Amelia Holt is one of New York’s most distinctive and forward-thinking selectors. Known for her instinctive command of rhythm, she crafts sets that fuse percussive intensity with experimental edge — moving fluidly through broken beats, leftfield techno, sharp electro, and the occasional dose of delusional krautrock. Her approach feels both studied and spontaneous, transforming dancefloors into deeply physical, culture-bending experiences.
At the heart of her work is Honey Trap, a party and label series she founded to carve out space for playful experimentation within New York’s underground. Equal parts sonic exploration and social ritual, Honeytrap brings together artists who share a curiosity for the strange, the sensual, and the unexpected. Each edition is distinct — from sweaty basement takeovers to open-air day parties — but all share the same spirit: rhythm-forward, unpredictable, and deeply communal.

More than a party, Honey Trap has become a home base for Holt’s broader creative practice — an incubator for collaborations, visual direction, and label releases that blur the lines between nightlife, art, and storytelling. Her name regularly appears across the city’s best sound systems — Good Room, Nowadays, Basement, Public Records, Nightmoves, Mansions and Bossa Nova Civic Club — as well as international stages in Berlin, Tokyo, Tbilisi, Mexico City, Lisbon, and beyond.
A resident at The Lot Radio and Kiosk Radio, Holt continues to extend her ear beyond the booth with her newsletter In Your Dirty Ears, where she shares new finds, reflections, and dispatches from the global underground.
