大阪出身、現在は東京を拠点としているDJ/プロデューサーであるDJ MARIA.は、多様な文化と共に成熟してきた同都市のテクノシーンの臨界点をさらに引き上げる存在として、その存在感を強めてきた。そして、この数年間に及ぶ国際的なDJサーキットでの活躍を経て、東京、延いては日本の新世代テクノシーンの象徴的なアーティストとして認知され始めている。
身体の隅々を駆け巡るグルーヴィなテクノサウンドから、思考と深く結びつくトランスサウンドを縦横無尽に往来し、オーディエンスを導くように感覚的に紡がれていくストーリー性のあるDJスタイルには、多くの人が心を掴まれ、彼女のセットはその一晩の中でも、特別な記憶として語られることが多い。その場のムードさえ適切であれば、彼女はダウンテンポからハウス、アンビエントなどの幅広いジャンルを選曲することもあり、そのミックスはいつもオーディエンスとの対話を意識したパーソナルな作品として届けられている。

高い独自性と柔軟性を獲得したDJ MARIA.のサウンドは、現在世界の主要なフェスティバルや名門クラブのプロモーターたちからも賞賛の声と共に迎えられており、ベルリンの〈Berghain〉やジョージアの〈Bassiani〉といったテクノのホットスポットを始めとして、ミラノの〈Acquario Masada〉やバーゼルの〈Elysia〉、そして惜しくも閉業したアムステルダムの〈De School〉といった通好みのクラブでもパフォーマンスを行なっている。加えて、ベルギーの〈La Nature〉やノルウェーの〈Monument〉、ポルトガルの〈BOOM〉やドイツの〈Nation of Gondwana〉、オランダの〈Draaimolen〉などの野外フェスティバルにもラインナップされ、彼女は自身が最も得意とする野外での極上のダンスミュージックを演奏してきた。

プロデューサーとしては、レーベル〈Beyond the Galaxy〉からEP『Acid Sunrise』をリリース。またウクライナでの人道的取り組みを支援する〈Deep Fundraisers〉や〈Bassiani Records〉によるコンピレーションにも楽曲を提供している。

また、彼女は日本の新世代の野外フェスティバルシーンの中でも特に注目を集めている2つのフェスティバル、奈良県天川村の美しい秘境で開催される〈Moment〉と独自のサイケデリクスにフォーカスのあてられた〈Transcendance〉のオーガナイズチームの主要メンバーでもある。

Hailing from Osaka and currently based in Tokyo, DJ MARIA. has been strengthening her presence as a key figure in pushing the boundaries of the city’s techno scene, which has evolved alongside diverse cultural influences. Over the past few years, her impact on the international DJ circuit has led to her recognition as a symbolic artist of Tokyo’s—and Japan’s—new-generation techno movement.

Her DJ style captivates audiences with its immersive storytelling, seamlessly transitioning between groovy techno rhythms that energize the body and trance sounds that deeply engage the mind. This sensory-driven approach leaves a lasting impression, often making her sets one of the most memorable highlights of the night. If the mood is right, she skillfully incorporates a wide range of genres, including downtempo, house, and ambient, ensuring that each mix remains a personal and interactive dialogue with the audience.

DJ MARIA., whose sound embodies both remarkable originality and versatility, has been earning praise from promoters of major global festivals and renowned clubs alike. She has performed at techno hotspots such as Berghain in Berlin and Bassiani in Georgia, as well as at more underground favorites including Acquario Masada in Milan, Elysia in Basel, and the now-closed but iconic De School in Amsterdam.

In addition to her club appearances, she has been featured at outdoor festivals like La Nature in Belgium, Monument in Norway, BOOM in Portugal, Nation of Gondwana in Germany, and Draaimolen in the Netherlands—bringing her signature, open-air dance music experience to international audiences in the environments where she thrives most.

As a producer, she has released the "Acid Sunrise" EP on the Beyond the Galaxy label. She has also contributed tracks to compilations by Deep Fundraisers and Bassiani Records, supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
