Cosmic Sex with nobena, a Marok

For our traditional pre-Xmas event, we’re welcoming DJs nobena and a Marok!

December parties have always proven to be the most fun. There’s just something in the air. Lots of alcohol, probably. This is why we’re starting already at 10 PM in a more relaxed, aux party vibe (our discounted merch will also be available), so we can hang out and chat a bit before going full throttle from midnight onward.

nobena is a DJ/producer we first got to know as one of the standout names of the younger generation of Slovenian techno. Lately, however, her selections have been reaching more actively into the bass music realm, as showcased in her excellent residency mixes for Radio Študent. She’s gathered plenty of mileage in Ljubljana clubs such as K4, Gala Hala, Publika, and Monokel, and has also performed in Italy, Germany and Croatia. She’s part of the modular-synth community Clockwork Voltage, where she released her debut EP Dam ti dam and premiered her first live set. In 2023, she launched her own event series F.E.M.S. in Ljubljana, a platform for women in the electronic scene focused on fostering more inclusive club spaces.

a Marok is a Slovenia-born DJ currently based in the Netherlands, as well as a filmmaker and musician. Her summer mix for DJ Seansa on Radio Študent resonated strongly with us, blending Baile funk, percussive club bangers and other bass-driven styles. So we’re very excited for her CS debut following her appearances at the Refresh club night and Grounded Festival.

For the early part of the night, Vuk and Russell Sprout are preparing an exclusive aux only set filled with personal hits. Setting the pace before our two guests, Jaša will fire things up with a 2-hour warm-up featuring his favorite releases of the year at the intersection of bass, tech house and techno. And for the epic closing, after many joint sessions with the Palud Boyz crew, we’re in for the first Ljubljana b2b of Zvèn and Vasko Trossi.
