A Listening Session Of Currents By Tame Impala

For Our Final Listening Session Of the Year, we had to make it extra special. We will be celebrating the 10 year anniversary of 2015 album 'Currents' By Tame Impala, transmitting live from the Historic Rancho Los Cerritos in Long Beach, CA.

In collaboration with Be Here Now, we have combined minds to give you an afternoon full of beautiful music & sound inspired by the world of Tame Impala.

'Currents' released on July 15, 2015 is the third album from Tame Impala, the music project created & recorded solely by mastermind Kevin Parker at his home in Fremantle, Australia. Currents represented a stylistic departure from the guitar-heavy Psychedelic Rock of Innerspeaker (2010) and Lonerism (2012). Moving strongly toward Synth-driven, Electronic, R&B, and Dance influences, inspired by artists like Daft Punk and Modern-Pop production. The album revolves heavily around personal transformation, breakups, internal conflict, and acceptance of change, influencing & captivating audiences around the world with pure sonic-force. We will be listening to this album front-to-back on vinyl, outdoors on the grass & on a state-of-the-art Hi-Fi Sound System provided by Ohmega Hi-Fi.

This will be following a Synthesizer Soundbath conducted by LA Synth Club & followed by a Live Set By Sound From where they will he playing originals alongside covers from Tame Impala albums Lonerism & Innerspeaker. Along with Synth Workshops & Vinyl-DJ Sets All-Night.
