On January 10, 2026, the one-day experimental music benefit built on chance, collaboration, and community, ROCK LOTTERY returns. The event, which spanned an iconic ten years in Brooklyn, is returning after 7 years and this time will be held in Los Angeles.

This spontaneous, genre-defying event lands at the new Sid The Cat Auditorium in South Pasadena, with all proceeds benefiting the Young Musicians Foundation (YMF) in Los Angeles.

How it works….

At 9AM, twenty-five volunteer musicians will be split into brand-new bands through a live lottery draw. Each group then has just twelve hours to craft a band name and write three to five original songs (with a strict one-cover limit) to be performed that same night at 9PM.
