KANØPY 002 continues High Society’s winter series dedicated to minimal, raw, and hypnotic electronic music.
Salt Lake City has long been a techno-forward city, with a deep bench of producers shaping its sound beyond the DJ booth. KANØPY exists to highlight that depth, prioritizing intention, restraint, and forward-thinking approaches to the dance floor.
The night features Pradd, a local pioneer known for hybrid performances that merge live production with traditional DJ technique. His sets blur the boundary between process and performance, offering a dynamic alternative to standard playback formats.
Also featured is Techninja, performing a full analog hardware set built entirely on live synthesis and sequencing, and Sweeter, bringing a classic minimal house sound rooted in groove, warmth, and subtle progression. Rounding out the lineup, MVN7IS delivers minimal techno framed by house-informed rhythms, emphasizing flow, restraint, and long-form pacing.
KANØPY is designed as a platform for new ideas and evolving standards, encouraging producers to step beyond conventional formats while keeping the focus squarely on sound, movement, and atmosphere.
